Kirros Retreat

The next Kirros retreat, for coaches and wellbeing practitioners, takes place 26 - 28 Jun 2024 at Emerson College, East Sussex. Just £490 (incl. VAT) per person which includes full board and lodging. All the food served at Emerson is organic, biodynamic and grown locally!

Kirros retreats are an opportunity to recharge in beautiful surroundings, develop new skills as a coach and facilitator and (re)connect with colleagues in the business of resilience, wellbeing and personal development.

Summary of timing and events

  • Arrive by Wed evening
  • Group and individual sessions from Wed pm to Fri pm
  • Accommodation options include camping and camper vans (£15/night) and single and twin rooms rooms with shared bathroom (see below). The total fee will be reduced if you choose the camping option
  • Depart Fri afternoon

Session plan

  • Vegetarian supper & welcome (Wed 18:15) - in the Garden Dining Room, Pixton House
  • Group session 1 (Thurs am) - Check-in and insights from the group to support coaching practice – personal tips and problem-solving using the “fishbowl” technique
  • Lunch - in the Garden Dining Room, Pixton House
  • Group session 2 (Thurs pm) - Storytelling Masterclass with Ashley Ramsden from the Emerson School of Storytelling to enhance your skills as a trainer and facilitator
  • Group session 3 (Thurs pm) - SOMA Breath® work with Brook Avsar - a multi-sensory mindfuness practice with breathing exercises and music
  • Pizza supper followed by live music (Thurs evening) - around the Emerson wood burning pizza oven and/or the Emerson music room
  • Group session 4 (Fri am) - The application of behavioural science. Dr Matthew Critchlow and Michelle Smorfitt from Kirros will share insights from health psychology and the latest research on habit formation to support your coaching practice
  • Coffee/tea break at Tablehurst Community Farm, an award-winning organic farm and cafe
  • Lunch - in the garden Dining room, Pixton House
  • Group session 5 (Fri pm) Nature immersion - forest-bathing and more with Dr Lana Jackson on the Emerson Campus
  • Group Session 6: Reflective learning
